Promoting Economic Freedom

Atlas Network works uniquely to strengthen the freedom movement by providing training opportunities for think tank leaders, awarding grants to institutes where Atlas Network sees great potential and to reward excellence, offering networking opportunities so that leaders can leverage shared knowledge and resources, and undertaking special projects that directly ensure that alternative ideas are heard and available.

The Promoting Economic Freedom grant program focuses on supporting Atlas Network partners who are operating in very difficult territories as measured by economic freedom. If your country scores lower than 6.35 (out of 10) in the latest edition of the Economic Freedom of the World index produced by the Fraser Institute in Canada you are eligible to apply for this program. Applications for countries outside this range will be considered on a case by case basis.

Support will be given to research projects and conferences that focus on analyzing and debating the major issues that affect the country’s economic freedom scores. The average grant amount for proposals considered for this program will be $6,000.

In order to be considered for this program please fill out this application.
