How TaxPayers’ Alliance is Successfully Saving British Taxpayers Billions!
Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 5:30 p.m.
Atlas Network Headquarters
1201 L St. NW
Washington, DC 20005
The UK’s TaxPayers’ Alliance (TPA) celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. And how does it observe this milestone? By celebrating its part in securing tax cuts worth £37 billion ($62.15 billion) in 2014-15 for hard-pressed taxpayers in the UK.
TPA takes its role as Britain’s independent grassroots campaign for lower taxes very seriously. Its focus on impact was recognised last year when it won Atlas Network’s prestigious Templeton Freedom Award.
Additionally, in 2012 TaxPayers’ Alliance won the Atlas Network’s Think Tank Shark Tank competition for their project MashBeerTax.org. With the prize money, TPA distributed hundreds of thousands of cardboard beer coasters to pubs around the country raising awareness about the rising costs of government taxes on beer.
