DC Parents Speak Up for School Choice

Washington DC’s School Choice program is in danger of being shut down. Todays Washington Post has a good editorial taking to task Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton: “While proclaiming a desire to protect children, she is seeking to eliminate a program that benefits them and that is valued by their parents.”

I hope that Norton takes a long look at the “Voices of School Choice” Web site, developed by DC Parents for School Choice. Virginia Walden Ford has been a powerful grassroots leader for parental choice in education. You can see her in the YouTube video embedded below, and at the “Voices of School Choice” Web site you will find videos of dozens of other parents who have a stake in the renewal of this important program.
