The issue of healthcare seems to be on everyone’s mind as of late. Unfortunately, the discussion centers more around how government is going to solve the issue of high costs, rather than how the market could provide better service, at lower costs. Thankfully, a new institute in Switzerland has risen to the challenge. Founded by Dr. Alphonse Crespo, Medicine & Liberty has tasked themselves with educating healthcare professionals about the importance, and benefits, of a free market in medicine.
MedLib is working to get their voices heard throughout the medical community by writing in journals, and creating educational programs for healthcare professionals. Their message will be getting some great airtime in September when MedLib presents before the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons and at a meeting of the International Policy Network.
