This year, the well-established free market think tank, CEDICE (Venezuela) has won three international prizes from the Atlas Economic Research Foundation: The Templeton Freedom Award for Excellence in Promoting Liberty in the category of Student Outreach; the Freda Utley Prize for Advancing Liberty; and the Francisco Marroquin Prize.
CEDICE will celebrate today, December 12, in Caracas with a program featuring three young student leaders, who will speak on economic freedom. The agenda features Thomas Chacon, economist and program coordinator at CEDICE, on Economic Education for Young Children; Eduardo Massieu, economist and law school student, on the Moral Imperative of Economic Freedom ( \You can hear his presentation at Atlas’s event here.); and Yon Goicoechea, winner of the 2008 Milton Friedman Prize from the Cato Institute and president of Future Present Foundation.
This prize celebration will warm up CEDICE and its guests for its 25th anniversary celebration in 2009!
