As many know, liberty oriented summer camps are taking place around the world this summer, these are an opportunity to meet and discuss free market ideas with young people, and to hear from excellent speakers.
Next week the Institute for Liberal Studies will be hosting it’s annual Summer Seminar out in the wilderness of Canada. This event boasts excellent speakers, and a great time with about 100 participants. The camp was recently plugged by Gerry Nichols in newspapers across the country.
Another unique thing about the seminar is its agenda. As its name would suggest the Liberty Summer Seminar is dedicated to promoting the ideals and values of liberty.
Speakers at the conference explain why free enterprise is better than socialism, why big government can threaten our liberties and why our individual freedoms are important and need defending.
In other words, it’s the kind of unabashedly pro-free market, pro-freedom stuff you will never hear discussed on the CBC or in our schools or in the House of Commons.
This article reminds me of a video LSS put together to advertise last year’s summer camp, There are still a few spots open to attend next week’s camp (July 25-26th) so Register now!
