Alternate Solutions Institute, Pakistan’s first free market think tank, launched its online platform in Urdu with the technical and financial support from Atlas Global Initiative for Free Trade, Peace, and Prosperity. Hum-Azad.org will serve as the Urdu portal for information on classical liberalism, while ASInstitute.org will continue to be the English portal in Pakistan.
ASI has had a presence in Pakistan long before the launch of the website, and is looking forward to continuing to work for freedom in another language.
“It’s so important to bring the ideas of liberty to people in their own languages. With Hum-Azad.org offering texts in Urdu, our friends in the region are able to offer an alternative to statism and coercion to people who will benefit from classical liberal ideas, mentalities, and policies,” said Dr. Tom G. Palmer, of Atlas Global Initiative. “They’re part of a truly global network of people who speak different languages, but share common values of freedom, the rule of law, free trade, and peace.”
“Hum azad” means “we are free” in Urdu.
