The Atlas Sound Money Project is proud to announce the launch of its website (www.soundmoneyproject.org), a resource-filled site that intends to educate both the policy community and the general public about the principles of sound money. The issue of sound money is fundamental to the fiscal policy direction of our country. Equally important is the impact this policy creates on the lives of ordinary people. While we seek to challenge the policy community to come up with “sound money solutions,” we also want the public to take part in a national discourse about sound money. Hence, it is imperative that we raise everyone’s awareness about this issue, and our little contribution is by way of disseminating information through this website.
Our most immediate goal is to provide the premier resource page for all things related to sound money. We will provide information across the spectrum, both historical and forward-looking, from amateur blogs to academic journals. Eventually we hope the site will be a forum for active and wide-ranging discussion about the relevant monetary issues of today as well as a valuable research tool for the growing population of students, academics and professionals concerned with the issue of sound money.
We will welcome your articles, journal articles, op-eds, blog postings, etc. for posting. We also intend to make this website interactive, inviting “wisdom crowds” to weigh in on pressing issues of the day.
*Don’t forget the Sound Money Project Essay Contest Deadline is January 15th, learn more here.
I hope you get a lot of hits on this site, as well as a lot of participation from concerned individuals around the world. It’s really a shame that this great country of ours took such an economic nosedive in order to shelter those who can readily afford to pay but don’t. it’s downright embarrassing.
