2010 marks the 10th anniversary of PERC’s Enviropreneur Institute (PEI). Seventeen fellows will be selected to participate in PEI, which will take place in Bozeman, Montana from June 27–July 9, 2010. PERC’s Enviropreneur Institute is an intense, two-week educational experience in Bozeman, Montana, for environmental entrepreneurs who want to have a better understanding of how business and economic principles can be applied to environmental problems. There would seem to be no better time to learn how to rely on markets, rather than donor or government money, to improve the environment. We are looking for mid-career professionals of uncommon aptitude, entrepreneurial spirit and drive, a history of work success, a dedication to purpose and the environment, and an individual who thinks or wants to learn how markets, contracts, and property can be harnessed to improve environmental quality and life. We offer 17 PEI fellows lodging, some meals, and a $2,500 stipend out of which they pay their own travel; networking opportunities with environmental economists, researchers, and other conservationists; and the rare opportunity to think outside the box and formulate a specific environmental project they are passionate about.
The curriculum, on-line application, and more details can be found at www.enviropreneurs.org. The application deadline is March 7, 2010. We will be notifying finalists by April 9. Please feel free to contact PERC if you have any questions.
