Guidestar, a source for nonprofit information , has a regular e-newsletter that I’ve found provides valuable management and fun raising advice.
In their most recent note, Guidestar revealed the outcome of a recent survey of charitable organizations, and their contributions from October 2008-February 2009. Due to the current economic climate, the numbers aren’t great, but they aren’t dismal either. While contributions have certainly gone down, demand for non profit services has increased by 59%.
