A panel of judges at Atlas Network's Latin America Liberty Forum 2025 chose Alfredo Flores of Peru-based organization Ciudadanía sin Fronteras as the winner of the Latin America Think Tank Shark Tank competition and its US$15,000 prize for his project "Global Talents."

Global Talents is an initiative that seeks to connect unemployed but professionally and technically skilled migrants with employment opportunities and, at the same time, train and guide companies in inclusive hiring to strengthen their productivity through more multicultural and diverse workspaces. According to a report from the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL), there is an annual deficit of around 300,000 qualified technicians in Peru, which is particularly pronounced in areas such as information technology, engineering, health, and construction.

Global Talents seeks to leverage the talent of migrants and refugees, providing them with training, sociocultural integration, and a pathway out of poverty in a win-win relationship between the Peruvian market and the migratory diaspora that Peru has been challenged to accommodate.

Atlas Network’s Coach, Compete, Celebrate! model is on full display at each of our four Regional Liberty Forums, through the Think Tank Shark Tank grant competition. In this event, three Atlas Network grant recipients take the stage to pitch a panel of judges—and the audience—on why their project should receive additional funding support. Think Tank Shark Tank and more Atlas Network competitions will be coming to your part of the world. Visit AtlasNetwork.org/Events to find out more about events in your region.
